It is with great sadness that I sit down to write tonight. My world is quite literally on fire. It breaks my heart to watch the devastation happening all around my beautiful Pacific Northwest home. Entire communities have been lost, people and animals displaced from their homes with little to no hope of returning. I have spent hours watching coverage of the fires that have ravaged the West coast and sobbed at the thought that this beautiful land may never completely recover. At least not without our help.
Our planet needs us. Our world is crying out for us to make a change. We need to be do better. We need to be better stewards of our home. We need to be better neighbors, and better friends. It is time for selfishness to take a backseat and for selflessness to come out into the light. We are all here on this planet together and we must learn how to coexist not only with our fellow man but with all of nature as well.
I implore you to join me in creating a better future for our children and our children's children. They deserve to have a world full of beauty. If you read nothing else that I have written I hope that this somehow finds you. Take care my friends and live for a better tomorrow.
